Victory Park, Dallas, Texas
Victory Park is the future of Dallas. The 75 acre mixed use development right in the heart of the city of Dallas has risen from a nice idea in the early 1990s to an alive and maybe the most popular area in the Dallas metropolitan area.
The cornerstone of Victory Parkis the state-of-the-art American Airlines Center (AAC). Home to the National Basketball Association’s Dallas Mavericks, the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars, and Arena Football’s Dallas Desperados the AAC opened in July of 2001. Since it opened, the American Airlines Center has become the most popular site in Dallas for sporting events, concerts, and other large venue attractions.
Victory Park, however, is more than just a place to watch some quality sports, a rodeo, or a major concert. Some

Music and Entertainment
In May of 2007, Dallas’ own House of Blues opened. The House of Blues can be a bit pricey for the average person, but it is certainly worth the money. Open several nights a week the House of Blues is a wonderful spot to hear some music and grab some authentic southern-style food, Voodoo Shrimp or Tennessee Baby Back Ribs anyone? Along with the weekly shows there is also a fantastic Gospel Brunch every Sunday inspiring all to “Praise the Lord and pass the biscuits.” http://www.hob.com/venues/clubvenues/dallas/
Food
Victory Park has a taste to please every palette. Some of the highlights are the super contemporary steakhouse N9NE, the amazing Tex-Mex of Luna De Noche Gourmet Gril, and the world-class sushi of Kenichi restaurant. There is definitely a destination for every taste bud imaginable.
After you have enjoyed your fine dining there are also some quality places to let your food settle and enjoy a coffee, or if you saved enough room, to enjoy some sweet dessert.
The Gachet Coffee Lounge & Books is a Wi-Fi Hotspot if you need to check your mail, it features a rotating local art exhibit for the art enthusiast, and to top it off this family-run café serves delicious pastries and a fine pot of coffee.
Noka Chocolate, founded by Katrina Merrem, has as its goal to “return chocolate to its pure, luxurious state by crafting the finest single-estate dark chocolate truffles and chocolates.” For most people that is just short of heaven.
Nightlife
Along with the other luxurious amenities at the W is the modern and very popular “Ghostbar Lounge.” If you want to see celebrities from Dallas, or celebrities when they are in Dallas, the “Ghostbar” is your best bet. Since its opening, Owen Wilson, Carrie Underwood, and even the Dallas Cowboys’ Tony Romo have all been spotted at the new hot spot.
In the Plaza at Victory Park you will also find the world’s largest LED screens showing customized programming to plaza visitors. During the summer the screens are used to show classic movies every Tuesday. 2007’s selections included Ghostbusters and Superman.
Victory Park has something for everyone, and the list is only growing.
